ERRATUM

A press error occurred in the mounting of a remake of Fig. A1 on p. 20 in the January (vol. 89, no. 1) issue of American Journal of Botany (Niklas et al., "The biomechanics of Pachycereus pringlei root systems," pp. 12–21). The figure that had been corrected but was not inserted is shown below. The direction of the arrows in the root portion of part (B) should point to the right.
